Face of the day

Leonie Hayden

Today’s face of the day Leonie Hayden agrees with Labour MP Louisa Wall that the cartoons Al Nisbet drew in 2013 were insulting and promoted racial disharmony. She was no doubt disappointed that the High Court in Auckland found that Stuff did not breach the Human Rights Act in publishing them.

Hayden, no doubt, was also disappointed that Louisa Wall failed to cost Nisbet his job and, five years later, she attacked him using her column on ‘cash for copy’ site The Spinoff. This time his cartoon was of witches but she still called it a “terrible” cartoon and “super offensive”.

Now that it has been revealed that cartoonist Al Nisbet no longer has a job, she has written another nasty column for The Spinoff intent on kicking a man when he is down.

Classy.
