Commenter of the week

Here at Whaleoil, we have a lot of talented people making comments on our posts all of the time.

So, we have decided to shine a light on the person we think has most deserved an accolade in the last 7 days.

Please note this is not about just one comment. We are looking for more than that. We are looking for someone who regularly contributes constructively to our forum and to the messages we are trying to send.

Another roller coaster of a week. We heard a different side to the Jami-Lee Ross story and it seems if your name is Colin and you are branded as guilty of sexual harassment, then you have just won a court case. These are interesting times indeed. In the meantime, the government continues to get away with murder, and Jacinda held a children’s picnic. This is where she is at her best. In a kindergarten.

As always,?we have a lot of brilliant commenters talking about it. More so than usual this week.

This week, our Commenter of the week is…

MacDoctor is an actual medical professional, and it is very interesting to hear his point of view, particularly on the recent topic of mental health. He is also an immigrant to the country, as he admitted on one of my articles this week.

So here are a few of his comments:

Yes. The government is very good at splashing money around and achieving absolutely nothing. We are all getting used to that.

Nuclear power stations with the Greens as part of the government? Wash your mouth out, MacDoctor.

Yes. Clarke is definitely a liability. We’ve never seen a farce like it.

On the Jami-Lee Ross saga:

I enjoyed MacDoctor’s input into this issue because it shows a different side to the story. Most of us have little to do with people who are mentally ill, and the voice of a professional in all of this offers some wisdom.

He can be vengeful too.

Won’t be going to your surgery then!

This is exactly how I view the situation regarding Manus Island. It is nothing more than an opportunity for Jacinda to virtue signal, and get credit for it. If she really cared about refugees, she would go through the proper process and give places to those first in the queue but that doesn’t get her recognised on the world stage as ‘progressive’.

Yes, that’s right. Those that get ‘free’ stuff like this government. Those that have to pay for it do not.

Here, MacDoctor argues for highly paid immigrants to be paid the pension before their 20 years residency is up. Most of us are probably ambivalent about that, but it is people bringing in their elderly parents who contribute nothing to the country that this is aimed at.

Of course, here I was assuming that he is a medical professional when it turns out…. he is a Time Lord!

I wonder if he has a Dalek as his surgery receptionist?

So thank you MacDoctor for your wonderful contributions to the blog. It is a better place to be with people like you contributing to it.

And here is a token of appreciation from our wonderful Technomage:

And here is a little something from one Doctor to another:

I hope you’ve got the proper coat as well. Maybe that is why you are called Mac Doctor?
