Yaggy’s Pre-Adamite Earth

A labour of love drawn in 1887 by Levi Walter Yaggy. Note?his own description:

“Illustrations of the mammals, reptiles, birds, fishes, trees, plants, etc., which existed in epochs prior to the creation of man, and whose remains are found entombed in the various strata.”

Yaggy’s large geographical charts are among the most beautiful and impressive educational charts published in the 19th century. Using chromolithography, Yaggy created stunning colours and contrasts in his images of the world, its regions, and peoples. Yaggy intended his charts to be used in classrooms by students and issued a teacher?s handbook to assist with instruction.
