Chief exec of Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP invites fake woman on panel. Wonders why real women got irate.

It seems that Conor Twyford, the chief exec of Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP, is all hurty that real women got angry after she invited a fake woman onto a panel. Naturally the far Left the Spinoff goes into bat for her by providing ‘her’ with a guest post. quote.

Quote:Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP does exactly what our name suggests. We exist to support survivors of sexual abuse, their families and wh?nau, throughout Wellington, Porirua and K?piti. We have been doing this since 1985, and we support people of any age, ethnicity, gender or sexual orientation.

Before I get any further, it is important to reiterate that sexual abuse and violence happens overwhelmingly to women. Sexual violence is a gendered issue. For centuries, women and women?s bodies have been treated like property ? something to be owned and consumed, used and abused.End of quote.

Actually, violence is more male on male?by far, but we won?t go there. Quote.

Quote:And the same patriarchal culture that enables this has allowed other vulnerable groups ? boys, gender minorities, people with disabilities and others ? to be targeted too.End of quote.

Yep, all white man?s and capitalism’s fault. Quote.

[…]But the tide is changing. A year ago #metoo exploded on to the scene. Women working in the film industry in the US raised their hands to say Me Too ? exposing Harvey Weinstein and so many others like him and the decades of abuse they had gotten away with.

Of course the architect of #metoo was a woman called Tarana Burke, an African-American civil rights activist, who had spoken out years before. Reflecting a year on from #metoo going viral, she recently said:

?We are working diligently so that the popular narrative about #MeToo shifts from what it is. We have to shift the narrative that it?s a gender war ? that it?s only for a certain type of person ? that it?s for white, cisgender, heterosexual, famous women. That has to shift. And I think that it is shifting, I really do.?

[…]We share Tarana Burke?s outlook. We know only too well that the more you stand out from the crowd ? the further away you step out from the heterosexual norm ? you more likely you are to be targeted. That to change the narrative we need the voices of survivors from across the spectrum speaking out.End of quote.

Translation: #metoo is too white and privileged. Quote.

Quote:So as part of our six-person panel, we have a transgender woman, Sally Dellow ? a survivor and a scientist ? providing her perspective. Sally has been campaigning for over 30 years to claim the space that is rightfully hers. She may have been assigned a male gender identity at birth but it is her human right to be recognised as female.End of quote.

Actually, he was not ?assigned? a gender and he has no human right to be recognised as female.

Transgenderism is a mental illness. A man who is gay is gay but a man who thinks he is a woman isn?t a woman.

Proof? Male and female brains are wired differently. Examine a female brain and it?s a female brain. Examine the brain of a man and it is a male brain regardless of whether the former owner of the brain saw himself as a woman. Quote.

Quote:In the lead up to the event we have been profiling the speakers on social media ? with a photo and a bio. We posted Sally?s on the afternoon of Wednesday the 17th.

What happened next was for us a huge eye opener into the struggle that trans women face.End of quote.

So you put a dude with boobs on a panel to do with sexual abuse, presumably the sexual abuse of actual women, and expect no repercussions? This isn?t just a special kind of stupid. This is a new kind of stupid. quote.?

Quote:In the two years I have been with HELP, I have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have received from our community. When we almost had to close earlier this year, it was the community that pulled us through.

[…] Last Wednesday?s post however changed that.

In New Zealand there exists a tiny splinter group of people who call themselves feminists, but who don?t believe that transgender women have the right to identify as female. When they see trans women they see men ? and they are adamant that the genitals you are born with define you. For better or worse, these people have earnt themselves a label ? Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists. TERFs, for short.End of quote.

Actually, the overwhelming majority of women see so-called transgender women as men and not as real women. Quote.

Quote:I have never seen, until now, a level of malevolence like that directed by these people towards Sally.

Almost immediately after the post went public the abuse began. For five days, right across Labour Weekend, a team of four of us worked to moderate the post ? hiding, and in some cases blocking and deleting ? comment after comment after nasty comment. I?m not going to give them any more oxygen by describing them here.

[…]But it went on for five days! The anti-trans activists enlisted their allies from America (where Trump is busy seeking to erase trans people?s rights), Ireland and London.End of quote.

Of course, we have to have the obligatory dig at Trump. Quote.

Quote:Anti-trans activists claim they are concerned to keep women?s spaces safe. It?s true that for decades feminists have fought for women?s spaces to be kept safe, for women?s voices to break through.

These gains have been hard won.

But they will not be lost by including trans women in women?s spaces, which in fact they have already been part of for many years. It?s distressing to see these attempts to obscure that history.End of quote.

Oh, so it?s always been okay for a man to compete in sports as a woman just because he self-identifies as a woman, has it? Or go into women?s public toilets?

As a guy, I wouldn?t want a woman at a testicular cancer help group meeting no matter how much she self-identifies as male.

Note the subtle lie here that those women who accept that gender cannot be changed are motivated by hate. The opposite is true.

With a suicide rate of over 40% including attempted suicides, people like Mr Dellow need our sympathy and help, not enablers like Conor Twyford.

If there is anger directed towards transgenders it?s only when they and their enablers push their gender dysphoria onto the rest of us and expect us to accept it as normal. Quote.

Quote:Trans women, who are already exposed to high levels of violence, have a lot to lose through being denied access to safe spaces for women. If these activists were truly concerned about women?s safety ? survivors? safety ? they would not have spent five days harassing our organisation.End of quote.

This. Is. Un-be-lieve-able.

If you?re a woman reading this please feel free to put in the comments exactly how you feel about guys in skirts invading your ?safe? spaces. Quote.Quote:

[…]Gender as well as sexuality are increasingly fluid and the overwhelming majority of feminists know that and support all people to claim what is rightfully theirs.End of quote.

Gender is not and has never been fluid. You are born either male or female. Sexuality is fluid but only if you’re bisexual.

If you want a word to describe how some men feel more feminine than masculine then either find a word that fits or make a word up like, I don?t know, effeminate maybe?

Everywhere real women are being forced by people like Conor Twyford and a complicit media to pretend that men in frocks are women. They?re being forced to pretend in their public bathrooms. They?re being forced to pretend on the sports field. And now they?re being forced to pretend that a dude with boobs on a sexual abuse panel is a woman.

I mean what next? A tranny on a Rape Crisis board?

I?m glad that Mr Dellow got the flack and ?abuse? he did. I regret there wasn?t enough outrage to get the attention of the mainstream media because then we would have seen a real backlash.

Apparently, Wellington Sexual Abuse HELP letting the public know they had a tranny on their panel triggered 5 days of solid ?abuse?. Shame there wasn?t even more abuse and it didn?t keep going until Mr Dellow was forced to leave and Twyford forced to resign.

People like Twyford believe that a man can become a woman as in someone who was born female. They are wrong. By denying reality they are dangerous and a threat to not only women but all of us.
