Born today in 1944, Bev Bevan drummer with The Electric Light Orchestra.

Born today in 1959, Steven Rothery songwriter and guitarist with Marillion.

Today in 1967, Strawberry Alarm Clock went to number 1 on the US singles chart with “Incense And Peppermints”.

Today in 1976, The Band performed their final concert, it was recorded and released as “The Last Waltz”.

Died today in 2007 , Kevin DuBrow songwriter and singer with Quiet Riot, aged 52.

Died today in 2011, songwriter, singer and guitarist Coco Robicheaux (Curtis Arceneaux) aged 64.
