Born today in 1945, John McVie  bassist with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac.

Born today in 1946, Burt Reiter songwriter and bassist (71-78) with Focus.

Today in 1968, Cream played their last concert before disbanding.

Today in 1983, Quiet Riot went to number 1 on the US album chart with ”Metal Health”.

Died today in 2005, Mark Craney drummer with Jethro Tull (80- 81), aged 53.

Died today in 2011 Keith “Keef” Hartley songwriter and drummer with The Keef Hartley Band, aged 67.
