Hadith for the day

There is a theme running this week. The topic was obviously of huge importance as some of this week’s hadiths are sequential. Tuesday was 157, Wednesday 158, skip 4 to 162, for Thursday and 163 today.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (PBUH) said, “If anyone of you performs ablution he should put water in his nose and then blow it out and whoever cleans his private parts with stones should do so with odd numbers. And whoever wakes up from his sleep should wash his hands before putting them in the water for ablution, because nobody knows where his hands were during sleep.”

Quite how one washes one’s hands before using water is not clearly explained.
