Born today in 1943, Dave Greenslade songwriter and keyboardist with Colosseum and Greenslade.

Today in 1964, “Glad All Over” by The Dave Clark Five went to number 1 on the UK singles chart.

Today in 1974, Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke (both ex Free), Mick Ralphs (ex Mott The Hoople) and Raymond “Boz” Burrell (ex King Crimson) formed Bad Company.

Died today in 2015, Dallas Taylor, session drummer for several acts including Crosby, Stills And Nash (and Young) , aged 66.

Died today in 2016, Glenn Frey singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist with Eagles and solo, aged 67.
