Taking aim at Google’s CEO over Climate Change

Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt has drunk the climate change Kool Aid. In a recent interview he took issue with climate sceptics and called them liars.

Google Chairman Eric Schmidt said his company ?has a very strong view that we should make decisions in politics based on facts. And the facts of climate change are not in question anymore. Everyone understands climate change is occurring, and the people who oppose it are really hurting our children and our grandchildren and making the world a much worse place. We should not be aligned with such people. They?re just literally lying.?

That is annoyed more than a few scientists, and two of them,?Paul Driessen and Chris Skates,?have decided to take him on.

While he didn?t vilify us by name, Mr. Schmidt was certainly targeting us, the climate scientists who collect and summarize thousands of articles for the NIPCC?s Climate Change Reconsidered reports, the hundreds who participate in Heartland Institute climate conferences, and the 31,487 US scientists who have signed the Oregon Petition, attesting that there is no convincing scientific evidence that humans are causing catastrophic warming or climate disruption.

All of us are firm skeptics of claims that humans are causing catastrophic global warming and climate change. We are not climate change ?deniers.? We know Earth?s climate and weather are constantly in flux, undergoing recurrent fluctuations that range from flood and drought cycles to periods of low or intense hurricane and tornado activity, to the Medieval Warm Period (950-1250 AD) and Little Ice Age (1350-1850) ? and even to Pleistocene glaciers that repeatedly buried continents under a mile of ice.

What we deny is the notion that humans can prevent these fluctuations, by ending fossil fuel use and emissions of plant-fertilizing carbon dioxide, which plays only an insignificant role in climate change.

The real deniers are people who think our climate was and should remain static and unchanging, such as 1900-1970, supposedly ? during which time Earth actually warmed and then cooled, endured the Dust Bowl, and experienced periods of devastating hurricanes and tornadoes.

The real deniers refuse to recognize that natural forces dictate weather and climate events. They deny that computer model predictions are completely at odds with real world events, that there has been no warming since 1995, and that several recent winters have been among the coldest in centuries in the United Kingdom and continental Europe, despite steadily rising CO2 levels. They refuse to acknowledge that, as of December 25, it?s been 3,347 days since a Category 3-5 hurricane hit the US mainland; this is by far the longest such stretch since record-keeping began in 1900, if not since the American Civil War.

Worst of all, they deny that their ?solutions? hurt our children and grandchildren, by driving up energy prices, threatening electricity reliability, thwarting job creation, and limiting economic growth in poor nations to what can be sustained via expensive wind, solar, biofuel and geothermal energy. Google?s corporate motto is ?Don?t be evil.? From our perspective, perpetuating poverty, misery, disease and premature death in poor African and Asian countries ? in the name or preventing climate change ? is evil.

No sign of global warming as US shivers

Have you noticed?

It is now difficult to find an up to date graph of temperature changes around the world.

Every man and his dog were publishing them when they were rising? but nearly 20 years of a flat line the supply has dried up.

Now we get regular reports in MSM of record highs ? ?record high in Timbuktu for July? or similar.? Our media lap it up, all proof of the coming ?climageddon?.

But did you see the information below?? No?? Strange.? No bias.? Just pig ignorance. Or willing subterfuge to hide record lows on the?part of a complicit media.

Record setting cold and snow, not global warming, became?the norm in November 2014. According to?Ice Age Now: 4,856 locations in the U.S. set daily record low-high temperatures in November and another 4,121 saw record lows at least one day in November. For the month as a whole, 94 locations set a new monthly record low and 1,435 locations set an average record low-high temperature for the month as a whole. Indeed, for the year-to-date, nearly 28,000 locations saw record lows during 2014, and another 19,500, locations set record low-daily-highs. ?? Read more »

13 useful facts about Climate Change to rebut the Green taliban

Sick to death of having Green taliban busy bodies look down their nose at you, clucking their tongues and wagging their fingers that they know best about climate change.

Here are 13 facts to learn up to shove back into their faces.

Here are the known facts. Use them to protect yourself against the Green assault the truth:

  1. Both the Earth and the Sun pass through natural cycles. The Sun is currently in a cycle of lower radiation as signaled by fewer sunspots representing magnetic storms.
  2. ?There is currently no global warming. The Earth has been in a cooling cycle for 19 years. No child who has passed through K-12 classes in school has experienced a single day of ?global warming.
  3. Not one computer model that predicted increased warming has been accurate.
  4. ?Carbon dioxide, (CO2) blamed for global warming, is not a ?pollutant? despite a Supreme Court decision stating this. Our exhaled breath contains about 4% of CO2.
  5. ?How can carbon dioxide be called a ?pollutant? when it is directly responsible for the growth of all vegetation on the planet? Without CO2 there would not be a single blade of grass or a redwood tree. Or the animal life that depends on vegetation; wheat and rice, for example, as food.
  6. ?There is zero evidence that carbon dioxide generated by human activities is causing catastrophic climate change. Climate is measured in centuries or shorter periods of many decades in order to determine its cycles. The weather is what is occurring where you reside and it changes every day. ? Read more »

Deception, Lies and Forgery

The “believer” world?erupted?last week with “gotcha” columns and blogs when private board papers from a US conservative think-tank,Heartland, ?were stolen and publicised. The useful idiots here in New?Zealand?also?jumped?in on the act.

Unfortunately for them all their claims were, yesterday, turned topsy-turvy when a leading climate scientist (chair of the IGU Integrity Committee) confessed that he had fraudulently obtained the documents by a form of identity theft. Worse, the main document is a forgery.

Peter H. Gleick, a water and climate analyst who has been?studying aspects of global warming?for more than two decades, in recent years became an aggressive critic of organizations and individuals casting doubt on the seriousness of greenhouse-driven climate change. He used?blogs, congressional testimony,?group letters?and other means to make his case.

Now, Gleick has admitted to an act that leaves his reputation in ruins and threatens to undercut the cause he spent so much time pursuing. His summary,?just published?on?his blog at Huffington Post, speaks for itself. …

The Heartland Institute had?already signaled?that it plans to seek charges and civil action against the person who extracted its documents under a false identity. Foreshadowing today?s events, on?Friday, Ross Kaminsky, a senior fellow and former board member at Heartland, posted a piece on the American Spectator site naming Gleick as an ?obvious suspect.? Now they have their man.

I won?t speculate on how the legal aspects of this story might play out.

Another question, of course, is who wrote the climate strategy document that Gleick now says was mailed to him. His admitted acts of deception in acquiring the cache of authentic Heartland documents surely will sustain suspicion that he created the summary, which Heartland?s leadership insists is fake.

One way or the other, Gleick?s use of deception in pursuit of his cause after years of calling out climate deception has destroyed his credibility and harmed others. (Some of the released documents contain information about Heartland employees that has no bearing on the climate fight.) That is his personal tragedy and shame (and I?m sure devastating for his colleagues, friends and family).
