I wonder what would happen if Murray visited?

NZ Foreign Minister Murray McCully

New Zealand, at the behest of Muray McCully, co-sponsored UN Security Council Resolution 2334 with Venezuela, Senegal and Malaysia against Israel.

While the US abstained it was against the wishes of incoming President Trump. Now chickens are coming home to roost.

Times of Israel reports:

The Trump administration imposed sanctions against Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami, accusing him of playing a major role in international drug trafficking.

El Aissami, who has been accused of anti-Semitism and ties to Iran and the terrorist group Hezbollah, has been barred from entering the United States. The executive decree issued Monday is the result of a years-long investigation. ? Read more »

Hezbollah hiding 100,000 missiles

Hezbollah is hiding 100,000 rockets to threaten Israel with.

Things are getting tense in Israel again as new evidence highlights the risk from Hezbollah. The war fighting season is nearly upon us and there are muscular actions taking place.

Time of Israel reports:

The Lebanese group Hezbollah has built up a massive arsenal of rockets and other advanced weapons in Shi?ite villages of southern Lebanon, a senior Israeli intelligence official said Wednesday, warning civilians would be at risk if war breaks out.

According to the official, Hezbollah has an estimated 100,000 short-range rockets capable of striking northern Israel, several thousand missiles that can reach Tel Aviv and central Israel and hundreds more that can strike the entire country.

Most of the weapons have been transferred to Lebanon through war-torn Syria, coming from Hezbollah?s key allies, the Syrian government and Iran, he said.

The official showed reporters satellite photos of what Israeli intelligence believes are Hezbollah positions in dozens of Shiite villages in southern Lebanon.

The photos were marked with dozens of red icons, signaling what are believed to be missile launchers, arms depots, underground tunnels and command posts.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity under military guidelines, said an estimated 200 villages have been turned into ?military strongholds.?

Obama removes Hezbollah from terror list, whose side is this chump on?

The US Government has removed Hezbollah, and Iran from the international terror organisations list.

Hezbollah has more than 100,000 rockets in storage ready to use against Israel and is funded and controlled by Iran.

Breitbart reports:

The U.S. intelligence community?s Worldwide Threat Assessment?removed Iran and its proxy Hezbollah from the list of terror threats to the United States.

The annual assessment of the intelligence community, which is released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence,?led by General James Clapper,?backed away from years of precedent when the decision was made to remove Iran and Hezbollah from the terrorism threats list,?The Times of Israel reports.

Outside of the politically correct verbiage and categorization issues (such as replacing the term ?jihadist? with ?violent extremist?), the report reveals that the intelligence community believes Tehran presents a persistent, significant threat to the United States. ? Read more »

Israel attacking Syrian government targets?

There are unsubstantiated claims that Israel has attacked Syrian government forces and weapons stockpiles.

Foreign Policy reports on the awkwardness of this news?for the opposition and inconvenient for the anti-Israel left who have been calling for intervention on the side of the Syrian opposition:

Syrian Facebook pages are reporting a series of massive explosions in Damascus, as are the Syrian regime’s media outlets. A video claiming to be of these explosions can be seen here:

? BBC News

I was searching for “Bombing Argentina” for a post about the Brits planning a longe range bombing mission against the Argies, but it just comes up with an ex-president standing trial for covering up bombing Farrars brethren.

Former Argentine President Carlos Menem is to stand trial for allegedly obstructing an investigation into an attack on a Jewish cultural centre in Buenos Aires, officials have said.

Argentina blamed the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah for the 1994 bombing, which killed 85 people.

But prosecutors say evidence indicating the involvement of local accomplices in the attack was covered up.

No-one has ever been convicted of the car bombing.

The attack on the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association took place on 18 July, 1994, during Carlos Menem’s first term in office as president.

The bombing demolished the seven-storey cultural centre.

Argentine prosecutors said Iran planned and financed the attack, and that a Hezbollah cell carried it out.

The prosecutors say there is evidence that the Argentine intelligence services and security forces helped cover up the tracks of local accomplices of the attackers.

Mr Menem was initially accused of a cover-up in 2009, but has never faced trial.
