Hillary

A victory speech and a concession speech, only one was barb free

I have listened to both Trump’s victory speech and Hillary’s concession speech. Only one speech was free of barbs. Trump’s was made when it was clear he had won while Hillary chose to wait until the next day.  I think it was disgusting that Hillary sent her supporters home rather than give them her concession speech on the night. It was bad enough that they had lost but to expect them to come back the next day just to listen to her speech was  incredibly rude and selfish.

Here is a comparison of key points from both speeches.

Hillary:

But I feel pride and gratitude for this wonderful campaign that we built together. This vast, diverse, creative, unruly, energized campaign. You represent the best of America, and being your candidate has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

Barb one: clearly anyone who voted for Trump represents the worst of America. This reinforces her basket of deplorables slur against anyone who supported Trump.

Trump:

I’ve just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us. It’s about us. On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.

I mean, she fought very hard. Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.

I mean that very sincerely.

No barbs in that statement. He acknowledged  his  opponents campaign and service to her country. He even indicated that the American people should be grateful for her service.

We can look at the elephant in the room because Overton’s Window has changed

maxresdefault-3

Overton’s Window refers to the range of acceptable topics that can be discussed politically. The window is changed not when politicians change their ideas but when ideas change in the society that elects them. The Left wing is particularly good at changing the window. Gay marriage is a good example.

Consider gay marriage, a subject once so far outside the mainstream that less than 20 years ago, Republicans and Democrats united to pass the Defense of Marriage Act to define marriage under federal law as the union of one man and one woman. Now? That view is such an anathema that it’s difficult to get — or retain — a job in entire sectors of the economy if you openly hold to the traditionalist position on marriage.

-nationalreview.com

Donald Trump has been able to address some of the subjects that were unacceptable to discuss previously because American society has changed and is now more receptive.Progressives until recently controlled societies views on subjects like Islam, immigration, border control and groups like Black Lives Matter. It was socially unacceptable to criticise any of these three. Being white was something to be ashamed of and being patriotic or nationalistic was viewed as racism.

Media support of Clinton helps Trump

kb-630x630

When the criminal hacker Rawshark stole and supplied the material for a dirty politics political hit on the National Party and Whaleoil the Media Party grabbed hold of it with both hands. They believed that they had a smoking gun that they could use to destroy National’s chances in the election. They were already in boots and all supporting Kim Dotcom’s bought and paid for Internet Party and the hack seemed like Mana from heaven. Considering all that they had National should have been destroyed by the relentless Media Party attacks but the public did not react in the way the Media Party expected them to.The American Media are having the exact same problem with the voting public. Their relentless Pro-Clinton and Anti-Trump rhetoric is having the opposite effect. If Trump wins a large part of the credit should go to the American Media.

…that Trump and Hillary are running neck and wattled neck is graphic evidence of the fact that about half the population hates so-called journalists and is voting accordingly.

That hate is destroying the media’s business model, and they are scared. You can see it in their frenzied doubling-down on the same foolishness that made us hate them in the first place. We complain that the media hacks are taking sides and they publicly reject objectivity. We complain about biased moderators, and their moderator rejects moderation. We complain that they favor the liberals, and then they all swoon over some Venezuelan bimbo while studiously ignoring Hillary’s track record of treating the women abused by her hubby like garbage. Actually, it’s not even just ignoring Hillary’s perv enabling – as I found out, the media tries to silence any mention of her shameful behavior.

This tweet was designed to try to make Trump look bad but it instead drew my attention to moderator bias.

Boag gives Little a towelling

Everyone know that I’m no fan of Michelle Boag but today she was like a pit bull attached to the ankle of the man wearing the EPMU hat, instead of his Labour hat. She was really impressive because she cut through the bullshit that is Andrew Little, heir presumptive to Labour’s vacant crown.

She was on the Panel on Radio LeftWing and tore apart Labour Party President Andrew Little.

She deserves some credit for this because she absolutely nailed him by using the truth, much and all as it grates for me to give the kudos.

Silly First Name Syndrome has struck again

I’ve said it many times, bad things happen to people or those in contact with people who have Silly First Names. The syndrome of which i am a leading expert, has again been found in West Auckland.

The man accused of raping a 13 year-old girl in the Auckland suburb of Waterview can now be named.

He is Aukustino Faatafa, 34, of Massey.

Faatafa is charged with abducting, drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl in April.

He is also charged with intent to facilitate sexual violation through stupefying the girl and making her incapable of resistance, by forcing her to smoke cannabis.

When will the mayhem end, when will the authories act to prevent such crimes by lacin all people who have contracted Silly First Name Syndrome into a monitorin programme.
