South Dunedin needs to harden up and go visit the Dutch

South?Dunedin needs to harden up and go pay a visit to the Dutch.

Much of South Dunedin housing will be at sea level or below in just 17 years, according to an Otago academic.

Professor Jim Flynn of Otago University said sea level rise had sped up in recent years, increasing the threat to low-lying housing.

Another expert, however, challenged the credibility of the data underlying that prediction. ? Read more »

Pro-Immigrant Party in Holland wants ” Racism Police “

If the Muslim Pro-Immigrant Party have their way, ‘ undesirable ‘ speech will be criminalised in Holland. The party wants to create ‘ Racism Police ‘ to crack down on critics of Islam that they call Islamophobes. This kind of attack against freedom of speech is not just happening in Holland. It is happening where ever a mutant ideology is created. This mutant ideology is the spawn of two extreme parents. The mother is ?Leftist Social Justice outrage, the father is Political Islam. United in their hatred for Jews and their desire to create a new world order they are a powerful force for change.

Legal Insurrection is reporting that the Netherlands’ pro-immigration Denk Party is pushing for a thousand-strong ?Racism Police? to go after?thought and speech crimes.

The party, dominated by members of Turkish and Muslim origin — quelle surprise — was founded in 2014 by two former-socialist Turkish politicians but it already sits in?the Dutch parliament and is hoping to mobilize the country?s million-strong immigrant population (out of about 17 million overall) and growing Muslim population, currently at about?7 percent, in the parliamentary elections to be held early next year.

Dutch Police focus on tweets not terrorists

I don’t know what Hillary Clinton is drinking but whatever it is, the Dutch police must be drinking it as well. How else can we explain valuable police resources being used to track down a teacher tweeting that Muslim children in his class had applauded the Brussel’s attacks?

Could a ‘basic income’ be a solution?

The Dutchies have hit on a possible ‘poverty’ solution…paying everyone a ‘basic income’.

It?s an idea whose adherents over the centuries have ranged from socialists to libertarians to far-right mavericks. It was first proposed by Thomas Paine in his 1797 pamphlet, Agrarian Justice, as a system in which at the ?age of majority? everyone would receive an equal capital grant, a ?basic income? handed over by the state to each and all, no questions asked, to do with what they wanted.

It might be thought that, in these austere times, no idea could be more politically toxic: literally, a policy of the state handing over something for nothing. But in Utrecht, one of the largest cities in the Netherlands, and 19 other Dutch municipalities, a tentative step towards realising the dream of many a marginal and disappointed political theorist is being made.

The politicians, well aware of a possible backlash, are rather shy of admitting it. ?We had to delete mention of basic income from all the documents to get the policy signed off by the council,? confided Lisa Westerveld, a Green councillor for the city of Nijmegen, near the Dutch-German border.

?We don?t call it a basic income in Utrecht because people have an idea about it ? that it is just free money and people will sit at home and watch TV,? said Heleen de Boer, a Green councillor in that city, which is half an hour south of Amsterdam.

‘Forced marriage is a continuous rape’

Child brides from Syria aged between 12 and 15 live in the tent city in northern Syria

Child brides from Syria aged between 12 and 15 live in the tent city

The Refugee/Migrant crisis in Europe has yet another controversial aspect to it. In Holland over 3 child brides a week are arriving at Dutch Asylum centres. Currently 20 are between the ages of 13 and 15. The problem is not only in European migrant centres. Save The Children have also reported an ‘ alarming increase’ in the number of Syrian child brides amongst refugees in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.

European countries are not handling the issue in the same way. Lets’ be frank. We all know that child marriage is forced marriage. These girls do not have a choice. Any child in a forced marriage is being raped on a continuous basis. There is no consent to sex. Furthermore and this is the most distressing aspect, according to Western values and morals having sex with a child is pedophilia and is abhorrent and wrong. The ideology of Islam and the ‘culture ‘ of Islam says that it is not only okay but good as the perfect man the prophet Muhammad married a 6 year old girl. How then are these countries protecting these sexually abused girls from the religion of peace?

61 ex-Gitmo terrorists back killing and maiming

Jihad Watch: Pentagon: 61 ex-Gitmo inmates have returned to jihad
Keith Locke should take careful note of this report from Reuters.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) ? The Pentagon said on Tuesday that 61 former detainees from its military prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, appear to have returned to terrorism since their release from custody.

Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell said 18 former detainees are confirmed as “returning to the fight” and 43 are suspected of having done in a report issued late in December by the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Morrell declined to provide details such as the identity of the former detainees, why and where they were released or what actions they have taken since leaving U.S. custody.

“This is acts of terrorism. It could be Iraq, Afghanistan, it could be acts of terrorism around the world,” he told reporters.

Morrell said the latest figures, current through December 24, showed an 11 percent recidivism rate, up from 7 percent in a March 2008 report that counted 37 former detainees as suspected or confirmed active militants….

The Pentagon said it considers a former detainee’s return to terrorism “confirmed” when evidence shows direct involvement in terrorist activities. U.S. officials see a “suspected” terrorism links when intelligence shows a plausible link with terrorist activities.

“Propaganda does not qualify as a terrorist activity,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

It is simply madness that Keith Locke thinks we can even contemplate taking in this bunch of terrorist scum.
