Imagine how much time you’d spend in jail if you actually worked closely with the hacker…especially if you actually helped plan the whole hack attack.

I’m looking at you Mr Hager, Mr Fisher and Mr Nippert.

A journalist with connections to the hacking collective Anonymous has been sentenced to five years in jail after posting online links to stolen data.

Barrett Brown originally faced charges punishable by more than 100 years in prison, but the sentence was reduced after he pleaded guilty last year.

He said he broke the law to reveal details of illegal government activity.

The case drew criticism from advocates of free speech and media rights organisations.

One of Mr Brown’s supporters is Glenn Greenwald, a journalist who publicised the National Security Agency (NSA) spying programme revealed by whistle-blower Edward Snowden.   Read more »

First, points to the “teenager” for trying help Gareth Morgan in getting his dead-cat-quota. 

Why is it OK for Gareth Morgan to try and save all the native birds, but when someone actually helps out, he’s a villain?

Moomoo the cat was left with a bolt through his head after the incident.

He had to have surgery at Massey University Veterinary Teaching Hospital to remove it.

Donna Ferrari, Moomoo’s owner, appealed to the public following the incident, handing out flyers in her neighbourhood asking whether anyone knew about what had happened to her 4-year-old pet.

I see the repeaters at the Herald have finally caught up with me on the Serepisos story.

UPDATE: A Judge in Wellington has set Poo-piss a tough Apprentice-like task: Find $4 million in 3 days. Tick tock. It took more than 3 days for the Prime Ministers Earthquake fund to raise that much cash.

With the news that Terry Poo-piss might have been stung by a scammer I thought TVNZ might be planning a new show.

Terry Serepisos is The MuguFor those who don’t know, Mugu is a term used by the scammers among themselves to describe their intended victims. Roughly translated this term mean “big fool”.
