Islam and antisemitism

Face of the day

Haj-Amin-al-Husseini

Haj-Amin-al-Husseini

You know how arguments and debates on the internet often end up with a reference to Hitler or Nazis? Well today’s face of the day isn’t Hitler or a Nazi but he found a willing accomplice in Hitler when they bonded over a shared desire to wipe the Jewish people off the face of the earth. It is a part of WWII history that I was not taught when I was at High School and I suspect it is still omitted from the syllabus today.

Islam had considerable influence over Hitler’s thinking and plans. It is highly conceivable from what I have discovered so far that two Muslims who influenced Hitler, Haj-Amin-al-Husseini and Achmed Huber are the actual founding fathers of the holocaust.

A Gay perspective on Islam

dsc_0104-635x421

I have given this article the title? ‘A Gay perspective on Islam’, but after re? reading both the blog post quotes and the advertisement I realised that both have failed to link Sharia Law ( Which is Islam ) to the way homosexuals are treated in Palestine, Syria and Iran. It is this liberal failure to gloss over the root cause and to instead pretend it is a terrorist/autocratic thing that deeply concerns me. Why this fear to say what is so obvious? Saudi Arabia is held up as an almost perfect example of Islam and we all know how they treat women and gays.

The rights of LGBT people in Saudi Arabia are unrecognized. Homosexuality is frequently a taboo subject in Saudi Arabian society and is punished with imprisonment, fines, corporal punishment, capital punishment, whipping/flogging, and chemical castrations.

I think people are confused because they see Islam as a religion and separate from politics/government. It is the fact that religion and politics are the exact same thing in Islam that is the problem. The Islamic activists are very honest about this. They say Islam is Sharia and Sharia is Islam. Historically and now there is no shortage of hard evidence that this is the case, so why are the victims so afraid to name their oppressor? I think that the below advertisement is great but it is like the victim of child abuse speaking out against the social worker who placed them with the pedophile rather than speaking out against the pedophile who abused them.

Auckland University goon squad defends Hamas

Yesterday the Auckland University goon squad were out in force? dribs and drabs protesting against Hamas..oh….I mean Israel. It did make me wonder though, as one of their chants were “Boycott genocide”. Juliet Moses confronted the rowdy teenagers and tried engage some sensible dialogue with their adult supervisor and enlighten them to a few facts about Hamas, only to be shouted down with petulant behaviour, abuse?and more chanting?because they didn’t like what she had to say to them. It just goes to show one thing from ‘that side’, that freedom of speech is tolerated, as long as it’s theirs.

Billy Hania the adult representing the rowdy toddlers blurted out a ?delusional rant which stated that all the killing was a result of the Super Fund and other companies. It has been alleged that an Israeli chemical company that the Superannuation Fund invests in is “killing people” with white phosphorus. The trouble with that is, the IDF haven’t used it since 2009 and it is only used for smokescreens because its use as a weapon is now illegal.

Even David Shearer doesn’t know what’s going on, as is evident in his comment:

Labour defence spokesman David Shearer, who worked for the UN in some of the conflict zones where white phosphorus was allegedly used, this month called for the fund to sell its Israel Chemicals stake.

“We should be divesting from that [shareholding] immediately,” he said.

“New Zealand should not be investing in any type of munitions that can be used in the way Israel is using them at the moment.

“It is absolutely unacceptable and I think most New Zealanders would agree. I don’t believe it is right.

“There are plenty of good investments in the world without having to invest in armaments.” – source

Compare and Contrast: Part three

Welcome to part three of my series of posts where I invite you to compare and contrast what happened in the past with what is happening now.

Lets look at how Germany kept its preparations for war hidden from the world prior to WWII and what Hamas has successfully hidden from the world until now.

Fundamentalism and Intergenerational hate brings peace: said no one ever

This is not the post that was originally intended today, but that can wait.

As a kiwi my eyes are really beginning to open up about the kind of people a lot of the Gaza Palestinians are. Not all, but as I type this I have just finished watching the news and am left with a sense of uncertainty, even impossibility as to the likelihood of any resolution.

We have already seen the plight of the Palestinian, we get it rammed down our throat on every news channel or bulletin that we watch. The reasons behind it are not Israel or Israel’s actions. If the Palestinians as a whole believed in peace there would be no wall. They would have access to the Israel job market, like they used to have. Unemployment would be a lot lower than the current 40%, (likely to be higher now) and money would be spent on infrastructure, economy and people. Instead, it is funneled into a terrorist network. It is becoming impossible to believe that all unarmed Palestinians are any less innocent than the armed ones that call themselves Hamas.

As a Palestinian mother ranted in front of the camera over her injured child:

“We will stand firm, and have more children to fight the Israelis.”

Are First Union membership fees funding anti Semitism?

cunt

“New Zealand does have to have a stronger line, and make…absolutely say that what’s happening in Gaza is just beyond the pale. I mean, 1500 people dead already, 9000 injured, people locked in as David Shearer said, basically an open air prison and just being bombed every day of the week since this campaign’s been on. New Zealand has to step up and say more and part of saying more is to get over this thing about saying on one hand Israel, on one hand Hamas, the brutality, the war crimes that are happening are happening from the Israeli side and Israel has to be made to account for what is happening”?

HATE Speech and attacks on Jews ? Read more »

A reader asks – Why do people hate Israel?

A reader emailed this last night:

Hi Cameron and the Whale Oil team,

I?ve been thinking about the more hardcore vocal supporters of Hamas here in NZ, well by default they support Hamas in that they oppose Israel. The likes of John Minto, Phil Goff, etc. The majority are what we would call left wing (if not communist in leaning).

Why do they oppose Israel?

It can?t be for a feeling of a philosophical kinship with the Arabs who after all, are in general; religious, subjugate women, and have a hierarchical society with vast wealth and power at one end of society and poverty and powerlessness at the other, and no intent of changing.? Seemingly nothing in common.

Could it be that they object to Israel being a democracy in a region of monarchies and dictatorships? Surely not, they must condone all having the vote and the right to participate. Although I haven?t seen John Minto and company campaigning to give Saudi women the vote prior to the upcoming 2015 election or indeed allow them to drive.

Do they object that Israel exists? It was created by the UN in the late 40s and as the objectors all seem to implore the UN to act whenever Israel defends itself, then they must accept the UN?s authority ergo the original mandate of Israel?s right to exist. Or perhaps not, as many of the objectors seem to want the ability to have their cake and eat it. Read more »

Anti-semitism rising

Mana supporter burning Israeli flag in Auckland

Mana supporter burning Israeli flag in Auckland

While Campbell Live meticulously catalogues every Palestinian death as he openly weeps he and the mainstream media are whipping the masses into a frenzy of out and out anti semitism,?Jews around the?world are afraid to leave their homes.

Just yesterday we saw hundreds of protesters again infesting the streets of Auckland, and again the US Embassy issued a warning to US citizens to avoid the area. This is New Zealand…such is the style of protest now being promulgated by Islamists and their enablers like John Minto and the Mana party.

We can at least be thankful that so far we haven’t had the type of anti-semitic rage that is enveloping Europe.

This is the problem when you allow immigration from intolerant nations and people.

EU leaders are stunned but are starting to speak out.

The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Italy have spoken out against a disturbing wave of violent anti-Semitic attacks across Europe in the wake of the Gaza crisis.

In Berlin, police had to step in to protect an Israeli tourist couple at the weekend after protestors turned on them when they spotted the man?s yarmulke. Demonstrators reportedly charged towards the couple shouting ?Jew! We?ll get you!?

In Paris, hundreds of protestors have attacked synagogues, smashed the windows of Jewish shops and cafes, and set several alight, including a kosher grocery store which reportedly burned to the ground.

In the Netherlands, the home of the chief rabbi has been attacked with stones twice in one week. ? Read more »

The rationale behind Hamas, here’s a clue it isn’t peace

Karl du Fresne accurately explains what it is that drives Hamas and their reign of terror in Gaza.

There is a ruthless, cynical logic in what Hamas is doing in the Gaza Strip.

The constant rocket attacks on Israel are largely futile in the sense that they do minimal damage. But Hamas knows that as long as the attacks continue, Israel is bound to retaliate. It can hardly allow its territory and people to remain under constant threat.

Hamas?s trump card here is the Western news media. The terrorists know that the casualties of Israeli retaliation ? children especially ? attract international media sympathy. They make sure TV crews get footage of the funerals and have access to the hospital wards where maimed children are being treated.

They know that their most potent weapon against Israel is not rockets but international opinion. And they know that as long as the media present the conflict as one that is massively one-sided ? one that is reported every day in terms of the gross imbalance in the casualty figures, almost as if it were some grotesque sporting encounter ? then international opinion will regard Hamas as the wronged party.

They also know that the moment they stop firing rockets at Israel, the retaliatory attacks will also cease. Children will stop dying and life will return to some semblance of normality (or whatever passes for normality in Gaza). But they choose to continue.

On the face of it, the only conclusion is that they are either stupid or mad ? or both ? to continue with a policy that causes little damage to the enemy. But that?s where the cynical logic comes in. ?? Read more »
