Trump and Jerusalem: MSM brings out the big guns

President Trump visited Jerusalem earlier this year and will effectively recognise it as the Israeli capital by moving US diplomats there

“Supermodel Bella Hadid has condemned President Trump’s decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In a scathing Instagram post, the Victoria’s Secret Angel branded the announcement as “absurd, unfair and one-sided”.”

Wow. I never knew that being a supermodel makes you an expert in Middle Eastern politics.

“Hadid’s family has strong ties with the regions. Her father – real estate mogul Mohamed Hadid – is a Palestinian, who was born in Nazareth, and has lived in both Syria and Lebanon.”

And I have strong ties to Britain but that doesn’t make me an expert on British politics.

“Bella said hearing the news made her “cry”.”

The olive branch and the pistol

Would you trust a guy with an olive branch in one hand and a pistol in the other?

With a gun on his hip, on November 13, 1974, PLO chief Yasser Arafat stood before the UN General Assembly and made the West an offer that it didn?t refuse.

At the end of a long speech in which he rewrote history to erase all connection between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel and criminalized the very notion of Jewish freedom, Arafat declared, ?Today I have come bearing an olive branch and a freedom fighter?s gun. Do not let the olive branch fall from my hand. I repeat: Do not let the olive branch fall from my hand.?

Trump will take office on Friday. He will be faced with dealing with Arafat’s replacement, Mahmoud Abbas who is repeating Arafat’s original offer.

The domino effect of Resolution 2334 continues

UN Resolution 2334 sponsored by the chairman of the security council, Murray McCully, whose strings were pulled by John Kerry and outgoing President Obama, sent a message to the Palestinians that Jerusalem was theirs. Now PLO President Abbas is pulling out all the stops to try to stop incoming President Trump from moving the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Why is he so against it? It is because it sends a strong counter message that the US recognises Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and therefore does not see it as Palestinian land.

Interestingly New Zealand shows its lack of diplomatic respect for Israel by locating its Israeli embassy not inside Israel but inside the Muslim majority country Turkey in their capital Ankara. We recognise the capitals of Muslim states so why don’t we recognise the capital of Israel?

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas sent letters to a number of world leaders on Monday urging them to prevent the stated goal of the incoming administration of US President-elect Donald Trump to move the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. to the official PA news outlet Wafa, Abbas sent letters to the heads of Russia, China, France, Germany, Britain, the European Union, the African Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement and the Arab League secretary general, ?asking them to spare no effort in preventing the US embassy from moving to Jerusalem?

Who is radicalising all these trucks?

Media persist in describing Islamic terrorist attacks not as attacks by a person of the Muslim faith but as a “truck attack.” The truck was the weapon not the perpetrator but the media persist in headlines and descriptions that hide or minimise the identity and religious motivation of the terrorist. In the latest ” truck attack ” The terrorist was Palestinian, Muslim and linked to ISIS but you will see him described as a truck driver rather than a terrorist and his weapon of choice, the truck, given responsibility for his barbaric actions in media headlines all over the world.

Guest Post: Thoughts of Another Terror Attack

Today, there was a terror attack, similar in so many ways to the one I lived through. No, I wasn’t there, and like today, Elie wasn’t there. He wasn’t…but he could have been…then and now.

Nine years ago, I was sitting in a restaurant in Eilat celebrating my anniversary with my husband when my phone beeped. The short version of the story was that my son’s unit had gone to Jerusalem to take part in the “slichot” (special prayers before the Jewish New Year) and on the way, a terrorist who was in a bad mood because his family decided he couldn’t date his cousin (I kid you not), decided to take out his anger by ramming his family’s reinforced BMW into a group of artillery soldiers – Elie’s unit.

Elie was not there, but he could have been. Elie was not hit, but 23 other soldiers were. Like today, the driver was bent on murder and attempted to put the car in reverse to run over (again) those that he’d plowed through.

Unlike today, many soldier’s in Elie’s unit quickly opened fire and the terrorist was killed within seconds. No soldier was hit again – all lived.

In that incident, when asked what happened, the commanding officer stood up and lied through his teeth. “I shot the terrorist,” he admitted.

Who fired? He was asked.

Me, he answered.

Who else? He was asked.

Me, he answered.

And so, by the conclusion of that incident, it was reported that the commander had fired and killed the terrorists – from about 17 different angles, simultaneously.

UN Resolution 2334 made Jerusalem the target of a Palestinian terror attack

The latest terror attack target in Jerusalem was determined by Murray McCully, John Kerry and Barack Obama’s disgusting anti-Israel resolution. The resolution declared?Judaism’s holiest site, The Temple Mount and the Western Wall an exclusively?Muslim Shrine. It ignored history and the fact that the Muslim Mosque is built on top of the ruins of previous Jewish temples. The resolution painted a huge bullseye on Jerusalem and is likely the justification for the latest Palestinian terrorist truck attack.

McCully, Kerry and Obama have blood on their hands. Far from promoting peace and a two-state solution the UN resolution that they drafted has been taken as a declaration of war on The Jewish people in Jerusalem by the emboldened Palestinian?Muslim?terrorists. In their minds, they have the approval of the United Nations for their actions because in their minds Jerusalem is now Palestinian territory.

Trump continues to rip up the play book with his appointments

The latest US policy to be torn asunder is the US policy against settlements on the West Bank.

The Washington Post reports:

President-elect Donald Trump announced Thursday that he will nominate New York bankruptcy lawyer David M. Friedman as his ambassador to Israel, saying in a statement issued by his transition office that Friedman?s ?strong relationships in Israel will form the foundation of his diplomatic mission.?

Friedman said in the statement that he would work ?tirelessly to strengthen the unbreakable bond between our two countries . . . and look forward to doing this from the U.S. embassy in Israel?s eternal capital, Jerusalem.?

Trump has indicated that he would overturn more than two decades of presidential waivers overriding the 1995 law mandating that the U.S. Embassy be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, a move weighted with heavy religious and political significance. Jerusalem?s status is contested by Palestinians and most of the world?s nations, which recognize lines drawn after the 1967 war. ? Read more »

BSA says Jerusalem is not in Israel any more and news organisations must report this new fact

Is Jerusalem in Israel?

Well no, according to the Broadcasting Standards Authority.

Honest Reporting explains:

ONE News New Zealand aired a broadcast in October concerning the wave of Palestinian terrorism in Israel. Setting the scene, the correspondent stated:

Road blocks are in place and thousands of police and soldiers are patrolling?across Israel as it tries to stop a wave of violence. In the latest attack, a Palestinian stabbed a 70 year old woman before he was shot dead.

The report than showed video footage of a terrorist being shot next to the Damascus Gate of the Old City. The caption on the video read ?Jerusalem.?

The broadcast sparked a complaint to the BSA by the Wellington Palestine Group. It believed that viewers would be confused into thinking that the scene of the incident and, in fact, the whole city of Jerusalem might actually be located in Israel. ?? Read more »

Boris slams BDS activists as ?corduroy-jacketed lefty academics?

Boris Johnson continues to speak his mind, this time attacking anti-Israeli BDS activists.

London Mayor Boris Johnson?s visit to Israel and the Palestinian territories hit a glitch Wednesday as meetings with Palestinians were called off following the mayor?s comments opposing a boycott of the Jewish state, which offended some supporters of the boycott movement.

The mayor on Tuesday dismissed those who support the boycott, divestment and sanctions campaign, known by its BDS initials, as ?corduroy-jacketed lefty academics,? comments which caused anger on Palestinian social media.

?I cannot think of anything more foolish? than to boycott ?a country that when all is said and done is the only democracy in the region, the only place that has in my view a pluralist open society,? Johnson said.

A number of Palestinian groups then refused to meet him while he was also informed his comments had led to additional security risks?if he were to visit the West Bank, Johnson?s office said.

The only solution is to kill them before they kill us

ISIS are celebrating Palestinian stabbings of Jews in Israel on social media using children.

Truth Revolt reports:

Social media is one of the tools ISIS uses to push its propaganda to the widest available audience. The Islamic terrorist group is not one to shy away from utilizing extreme shock value to proselytize its message of “death to the infidels.” And that is never more apparent than in its latest spreading of images of very young children brandishing knives and adorned in Palestinian garb — an obvious ode to recent stabbing attacks against Jews in the West Bank. ?
