Patrick Moore: ‘no scientific proof’ climate change is manmade

One of the original founders of Greenpeace, who quit the organisation in disgust,?has?said that humans are not to blame for climate change:

There is no scientific proof of man-made global warming and a hotter earth would be ?beneficial for humans and the majority of other species?, according to a founding member of environmental campaign group Greenpeace.

The assertion was made by Canadian ecologist Patrick Moore, a member of Greenpeace from 1971 to 1986, to U.S senators on Tuesday.

He told The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee: ?There is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth?s atmosphere over the past 100 years. If there were such a proof it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood in science, exists.?

Moore pointed out that there was an Ice Age 450million years ago when CO2 was 10 times higher.

He said: ?There is some correlation, but little evidence, to support a direct causal relationship between CO2 and global temperature through the millennia. The fact that we had both higher temperatures and an ice age at a time when CO2 emissions were 10 times higher than they are today fundamentally contradicts the certainty that human-caused CO2 emissions are the main cause of global warming.?

Even if the earth does warm up, Moore claims that it will be to the advantage of humans and other forms of life, as ?humans are a tropical species?.

The Founder of Greenpeace tells The Truth about CO2

WUWT reports:

Dr. Patrick Moore, who was one of the original founders of Greenpeace who left the organization in disgust of their current political zealotry, and Greenpeace is now trying to have him erased from history for daring to do that. He has now produced this interesting video in conjunction with with Prager University that is sure to put some people into conniption fits.

Global Warming activists will tell you that CO2 is bad and dangerous. The EPA has even classified it as a pollutant. But is it? Patrick Moore provides some surprising facts about the benefits of CO2 that you won?t hear in the current debate. ? Read more »

Greenpeace is an “evil organisation” – Patrick Moore, founder of Greenpeace

One of the founders of Greenpeace, Dr Patrick Moore, has been at war with Greenpeace since he left in 1986.

He now says that Greenpeace has become anti-human and an “evil organisation”.

Greenpeace has been branded an ‘evil organisation’ which has ‘lost concern for humans’ in an astonishing attack by its own co-founder.

Ecologist Dr Patrick Moore, who quit Greenpeace in 1986, has launched a scathing criticism of the activist group, which he insisted?has lost its humanitarian roots. ? Read more »

13 useful facts about Climate Change to rebut the Green taliban

Sick to death of having Green taliban busy bodies look down their nose at you, clucking their tongues and wagging their fingers that they know best about climate change.

Here are 13 facts to learn up to shove back into their faces.

Here are the known facts. Use them to protect yourself against the Green assault the truth:

  1. Both the Earth and the Sun pass through natural cycles. The Sun is currently in a cycle of lower radiation as signaled by fewer sunspots representing magnetic storms.
  2. ?There is currently no global warming. The Earth has been in a cooling cycle for 19 years. No child who has passed through K-12 classes in school has experienced a single day of ?global warming.
  3. Not one computer model that predicted increased warming has been accurate.
  4. ?Carbon dioxide, (CO2) blamed for global warming, is not a ?pollutant? despite a Supreme Court decision stating this. Our exhaled breath contains about 4% of CO2.
  5. ?How can carbon dioxide be called a ?pollutant? when it is directly responsible for the growth of all vegetation on the planet? Without CO2 there would not be a single blade of grass or a redwood tree. Or the animal life that depends on vegetation; wheat and rice, for example, as food.
  6. ?There is zero evidence that carbon dioxide generated by human activities is causing catastrophic climate change. Climate is measured in centuries or shorter periods of many decades in order to determine its cycles. The weather is what is occurring where you reside and it changes every day. ? Read more »

Patrick Moore’s testimony to US Senate in climate change

Dr. Patrick Moore, the co-founder of Greenpeace, went before the U.S. Senate to tell his story as it relates to global warming/climate change.

This is his submission. It is well worth your time to read.

Statement?of Patrick Moore, Ph.D.?Before?the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Subcommittee on Oversight

February?25, 2014

?Natural?Resource?Adaptation:?Protecting?ecosystems?and economies?

Chairman Whitehouse, Ranking Member Inhofe, and members of the Committee. Thank you for the opportunity to testify at today?s hearing.

In 1971, as a PhD student in ecology I joined an activist group in a church basement in Vancouver Canada and sailed on a small boat across the Pacific to protest US Hydrogen bomb testing in Alaska. We became Greenpeace.

After 15 years in the top committee I had to leave as Greenpeace took a sharp turn to the political left, and began to adopt policies that I could not accept from my scientific perspective. Climate change was not an issue when I abandoned Greenpeace, but it certainly is now.

There is no?scientific proof?that human emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) are the dominant cause of the minor warming of the Earth?s atmosphere over the past 100 years. If there were such a proof it would be written down for all to see. No actual proof, as it is understood in science, exists.

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) states: ?It is?extremely likely?that human influence has been the?dominant cause?of the observed warming?since the mid-20th?century.? (My emphasis)

?Extremely likely? is not a scientific term but rather a judgment, as in a court of law. The IPCC defines ?extremely likely? as a ?95-100% probability?. But upon further examination it is clear that these numbers are not the result of any mathematical calculation or statistical analysis. They have been ?invented? as a construct within the IPCC report to express ?expert judgment?, as determined by the IPCC contributors. ?? Read more »

Using defamation to stifle free speech

Michael Tracinski has a great article about the current Mann vs Steyn defamation action being used by Michael Man in an attempt to shut down criticism.

I was reminded of this in coming across a little sidelight to Mann vs. Steyn, the defamation lawsuit filed by scientist-turned-activist Michael Mann in an attempt to suppress the speech of global warming skeptics, starting with conservative writer Mark Steyn.

As I have explained?elsewhere?Mann is attempting to legally punish any attempt to “question his intellect and reasoning”?that’s from the DC Superior Court, which preposterously backed his argument?on the grounds that Mann’s scientific claims have been investigated by multiple government panels, which have exonerated him.

This claim, by the way, is already falling apart. As Steven McIntyre?explains, one of the examples Mann cites is a British panel that did not actually investigate Mann?its focus was on the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit, the epicenter of “Climategate”?and in its announcement of its results criticized Mann’s methods as “inappropriate” and his results as “exaggerated.” At the time, Mann felt so exonerated that he sent harassing e-mails to the scientist who made that remark, demanding a retraction and an apology. Mann then went on to tell the BBC that such a retraction was forthcoming. It wasn’t. All of which tells you a great deal about Professor Mann’s credibility.

But that’s not the main issue. The main issue in the suit is Mann’s appeal to authority in the first place. He cites the various government investigations as reasons why, as the DC Superior Court put it, “to question [Mann’s] intellect and reasoning is tantamount to a [libelous] accusation of fraud.” Mann’s goal is to make it a legally punishable offense to question a scientist’s honesty or even his thinking method.? Greenpeace founder Patrick Moore accuses them of “crimes against humanity”

Patrick Moore is a founder of Greenpeace, and he famously left them and has disagreed with them ever since.

In The Independent the?Canadian ecologist accuses Greenpeace of committing a “crime against humanity”

Greenpeace has blood on its hands and is committing a ?crime against humanity? by actively opposing the introduction of a genetically modified (GM) rice crop that could prevent the deaths of more than two million children a year, according to a founder-member of the world?s largest and most prominent environmental group.

Patrick Moore, a Canadian ecologist who joined the inner circle of Greenpeace in 1971, a year after the organisation was established, has made an impassioned attack on the environmental group for blocking ?golden rice?, a GM crop fortified with vitamin A genes.

Dr Moore, who is due to protest outside the UK headquarters of Greenpeace in London on Friday, told The Independent that the environmental group has strayed well beyond its original humanitarian remit by opposing golden rice and the health benefits it could bring to some of the poorest children in the world.

?There are 250 million children living in the tropics who are vitamin A deficient and they need this vitamin. Golden rice can deliver it to them because they eat rice every day and because that?s all that they can afford,? Dr Moore said.

?The fact is vitamin A deficiency is the biggest killer of children in the world today. Unicef estimates that a little over eight million children die prematurely each year from all causes such as diseases like malaria, TB and HIV-Aids. But more than 25 per cent of them die from vitamin A deficiency, which is essential for eyesight and the immune system,? he said. ? Read more »

Charitable status of Greenpeace now impossible

The more I think about it the more I think that the Green Taliban?supporters?puppet-masters Greenpeace are dreaming if they think they?ve got a chance in hell of securing charitable status again after this shocking revelation.

In a move straight out of the NSA training handbook,?Greenpeace activists have more interest in gathering the contact details of citizens?who get bullied into signing petitions by charity muggers.

Greenpeace activists then use this personal information to call up the housewives of Mt Eden to demand?money?donations from them.

But those Mt Eden housewives certainly won?t be happy campers when their husbands come home from work and tell them Greenpeace is using this money to pay hippies to solicit money out of petition signers all so they can pay dividends to their overseas corporate entities.? Read more »

Greenpeace really are scurrilous lying ratbags, now they are trying to scare the kids by spreading lies about climate change using Santa Claus.

As is usual it is nothing more than lies and mis-truths dressed up as a begging appeal for a greedy global corporate built on those lies and a foundation of hypocrisy. ? Read more »
