Peter Lyons…Here’s a clue, life isn’t fair

Peter Lyons is a teacher at St Peters College.

He made a lame attempt at satire yesterday in the Herald.

Seriously has this teacher never interacted with a child aside from lecturing them on his leftie leanings, most young people want to make their own way in life and be rewarded for their hard work.

This is from the guy who gets 4 months holiday and a 100k a year salary regardless of whether he is totally useless at his job or brilliant and pretty much has to interfere with a child (and get caught after successive cover-ups)to lose his job.

I just realised there may be a vacancy for a fuller-figured right-wing blogger with limited talent for prose. I may be the man for the job.

I think we are born with an innate sense of fairness. As we age we learn that unfairness is part of the magic of existence. By middle age, we have learned that life is not always fair. Maybe this is the hallmark of middle age. Some people in life are the perpetrators. Others are the prey. This is the law of nature.

I am changing my voting this election. As a partially sighted, middle-aged, XXL bachelor it’s time to take self-interest seriously. Much of my modest wealth is tied up in shares. I am an ardent capitalist. It’s time I came out after spending a lifetime in socialist staff rooms.

I can’t vote for political parties that will undermine the oligopolistic power of the electricity companies whose shares I own. My fat dividend cheques are preferable to the electricity needs of some old pensioner in winter-chilled South Dunedin.

Funny how he works for a private school but loathes private business.

I’m voting the right way this year because I like their education policies. Star principals and teachers will get big bonuses to spread their magic to lesser schools and teachers.

My principal and I can jump into his car several times a week. We can cruise through the leafy suburb of Epsom and on to the motorway and head south to share our wisdom. I could teach the students in these schools about the joys of capitalism. I would teach them that we all start from similar wombs. All it takes is hard work, application, thrift and attitude and we can all be winners. It’s about freedom to choose.

Whale Week What Was

Steve Harris - Iron Maiden, Whale Oil Beef HookedSaturday started with a Face of the Day photo that was a bit hard to look at before breakfast. ?Cam finds a Frenchman worthy of respect, and is pleased to find they aren’t all cheese eating surrender monkeys.?Count Jacques le Bel de Penguilly does have a poofy name though. ?Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche is a play that Whale suggests David Farrar should review for his Womans Weekly blog. ?Australia charges its second Catholic Priest for child sex crimes, and this blog continues to ask: ?Why is New Zealand immune? ?We’re either better than the rest of the world or we’re still covering it up. ?Which is it, and why? ? Sadly, another Cry Baby post where we highlight those who aren’t taking personal responsibility. ?This time, people who booked on Jetstar had their flights cancelled are in the paper bleating they’ll never fly Jetstar again. ?If only they knew this could happen, eh? ?Sharing a public space is tough when the others are eating, playing music and talking on their phones. ?Cam Slater throws in a joke about an ERO school inspector and Hekia Parata, and follows it up with a post where he reveals that politicians lie. ?Yeah. ?Why do women wear high heels? ?It can get to the point of ridiculousness for sure. An interesting post showing that a Connecticut newspaper is still advertising guns right next to Sandy Hook School news. ?That was followed by a post of dash cam footage from 1927 as well as dash cam footage of a plane crash last week. ?Next a top drawer post about glow in the dark toilet paper and poop hand soap. ?Only on WOBH. ? An interesting BBC2 short about Gordon Buchanan turning himself potential into Polar Bear lunch?leads a post about Iron Maiden showing Steve Harris wearing a Whale Oil Beef Hooked T-Shirt. ?Perhaps we should avoid NZ Herald Stock tips: ?Australian shares are hot apparently? ?Especially those APN stocks. ?Oh, and Fairfax stocks are doing just great as well. ?And as we wind down towards the end of the Saturday, we have a post about a CK Stead letter in which he slams the Binnie report as having clear bias. ? Jacinda wants an inquiry, what about inquiring about thieving scum in Northland?

Jacinda Ardern called for an inquiry, for the sake of our tourism reputation, into the incident at the Sky Tower when a mentally ill drop kick tried to top himself.

Perhaps she might like to call for an inquiry into thieving scum in Northland who are doing a whole lot more damage to?tourism?that a single nutbar in Auckland.

Thieves stole dozens of boogie boards from a tour bus that got bogged down in sand on Ninety Mile Beach at the weekend.

The bus was operating a tour run by the Fullers GreatSights company and got into trouble while driving along the beach shortly before 11am on Sunday.

Fullers GreatSights Bay of Islands general manager Charles Parker said yesterday the tourists had been transferred to other buses.

Give Him A Push

Yesterday afternoon:

?Police and other emergency services spent the afternoon at the scene of what was described as a “serious and ongoing incident” at the Sky Tower in central Auckland City.

Police staff negotiated with the man who was on the ledge of level 54 at the location of the SkyJump cable-controlled base jump operation.

A large crowd of onlookers gathered at the scene and surrounding streets, including Federal Street and Victoria Street West, were cordoned off.

But will the girls get paid

There is much fuss and bother over the proposed brothel to be established over the road from the Sky Tower.

There is certainly a great deal of NIMBY-ism going on. The simple fact is that brothels are legal and if not across the road from another den of inquity in the form of a casino then where?

Do we now need to start considering an Amsterdam style red light district?

However a check of the key players suggests that this brothel may well not be in business for long.

Sex industry magnates are to open a “massage” club directly opposite the Sky Tower and flanked by residential buildings and shops.

In a move which has stunned nearby retailers, millions of dollars have been spent to turn the Palace Hotel pub, on the corner of Victoria St West and Federal St, into a new adult venue.

Wellington brothel owners John and Michael Chow bought the run-down building for $3.3 million, saying they hope to cater for the needs of visitors, gamers from the SkyCity Casino and tourists.

I’m wondering if the John Chow is the same John Chau in this article about Naked News Korea. My sex industry sources say that he is and that he is bad news;

After barely a month of operations, Naked News?Korea?is apparently winding up and with four of its remaining presenters expressing, ?We will fight to the end against?Naked News Korea for lying to us and the nation.?

Naked News Korea presenters Choi Sun Yi, Han Min Kyung, Lee Se Yeon and Jin Jae Kyung held a press conference on 30th July, ?We became presenters for Naked News Korea despite getting criticisms from our parents, relatives and friends. The owner, John Chau seems to be acting with only his own interests in mind and had operated the business with the intent of committing fraud. All of the money has went into his own pocket.?

Naked News Korea had ceased to provide news updates last week due to internal issues which included owning the 9 presenters and other staff about 2 -3 months of wages among others. 5 of the original nine presenters have already left the company, with only four remaining behind before everything erupted. All of the staff have no clue about what?s going on and could only say that they have been cheated by John Chau. The matter has been been bought to the attention of the Labor Ministry while the police have also started investigations into fraud allegations against John Chau.

And I wonder if the John and Michael Chow are the same John and Michael Chow who are sponsoring the Wellington Saints.

Sex Industry sources I have spoken to today confirm that these two are behind the new venture.

Massage – yea right. Sure seems to be an influx coming, it will be a haven for illegal immigrants – they will take the passports like they do at Mermaids Wellington and il Bordello and create a drama – the Wellington CIB are well aware of the games they play – but guess when you pay you can play – and the council must be getting a huge back hander.

The sex industry is not happy with these two, their business methods and the way they treat the girls. As I get more information I will update this post, but ot seems that there are not a lot of happy campers. The real owners of The Establishment ?and other major brothels probably won’t like the developments either so watch this space.
