Slavery

Learning this one historical fact about politics explains so much about the Left

Until recently I was ignorant about the origins of America’s two main political parties. I knew that the Democrats were similar to our Labour party and the Republicans were similar to our National party. They have other parties but, because they do not have MMP, the tail never gets the opportunity to wag the dog like it does here in New Zealand.

So, many of the Democrat’s policies confused me because, to my conservative and libertarian eyes, they were patronising and racist. It turns out that there is a very good historical reason for the way they treat their Black American supporters.

American Islamic couple cry Islamophobia, when caught with two female slaves

The Arab slave trade was happening long before the Americans started enslaving and trading in African slaves. Islam has a long history of slavery as Muhammad approved of slavery and had many slaves, including sex slaves. Europeans in the past had slaves but, in modern times, the practice has been abolished. Islam, in contrast, has not changed with the times and slavery, as well as other vile things such as child brides and paedophilia, are still considered acceptable to a ‘devout’ Muslim who takes the Koran literally.

Hassan al-Homoud and Zainab al-Hosani thought they could intimidate a Texas judge into submitting to Sharia law ? they couldn?t have been more wrong.

Hassan al-Homoud and Zainab al-Hosani thought they could intimidate a Texas judge into submitting to Sharia law ? they couldn?t have been more wrong.
A racist Muslim couple living in their luxurious San Antonio home brought over two Third World women to keep as slaves. They thought they could convince the judge that since their Islamic prophet kept slaves, it would be ?Islamophobic? to deny them. However, instead of submitting to Sharia law, the Texas judge gave them a taste of their own medicine.

Michelle Obama would get about US$45 on the ISIS slave market, says Dabiq

Slavery in New Zealand, yes really.

New Zealand has a low level of modern slavery but people are still being exploited and changes need to be made, a global survey has found.

“Modern slavery for us is any situation where one person deliberately takes away another person’s liberty for some sort of profit or gain,” Walk Free Foundation global research executive director Fiona David says.

Modern slavery traps 35.8million people

This includes human trafficking, forced labour, forced or servile marriage, and the sale and exploitation of children.

New Zealand is estimated to have 600 people in modern slavery, the fourth lowest prevalence of 167 countries in the Global Slavery Index.

The known cases involved workers in modern slavery with the most widely documented being on fishing charter vessels in New Zealand waters, Ms David told NZ Newswire.

Their situations have included being subjected to violence, sexual abuse, being fed stale bread and fish bait, working 30-hour shifts and even being paid 35 cents an hour.”

New laws clamping down on fishing boat conditions come into force in 2016, which was “really positive”, she said.

So who in New Zealand are responsible for modern slavery? I did a bit of digging and came up with this…

If the PM is tainted then so is the Queen

Far left fool Michael Field loses what little credibility he had with one of the most ridiculous articles where he tries to link the PM with being a supporter of an alleged slave master.

If Fairfax ever want to know why they are haemorrhaging readers this is the perfect example, why as a business you would want to advertise your wares and be associated with that sort of “journalism” is a mystery.

It’s the sort of rubbish you expect from The Herald.

Prime Minister John Key last year met a Thai billionaire whose conglomerate is at the centre of fishing-industry slavery allegations, and encouraged him to invest in New Zealand.

Britain’s Guardian?this week published results of a six-month investigation into men forced to work for years with no pay and under threat of violence, being used in Asia in the production of seafood sold by major US, British and European retailers.

It found that large numbers of men, bought and sold like animals and held against their will on fishing boats off Thailand, were integral to the production of prawns sold in leading supermarkets around the world.

The prawns are harvested for Thailand-based Charoen Pokphand Foods, which is headed by the country’s richest man, Dhanin Chearavanont.? Read more »
