Tampon

Muhammad’s Believe It or Not should be a TV Show

I come across so many unbelievable true stories about the ideology of Islam that a TV show should be made about it. It would be an Islamic version of the popular Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

Episode one would be about the tampon that stole a Muslim girl’s virginity:

Mother Sues Tampon Company for ‘Stealing’ Daughter’s Virginity

Mother Sues Tampon Company for ‘Stealing’ Daughter’s Virginity

Twin Falls, ID | An Idaho woman is suing the Kotex company for $1.4 million dollars after she claims one of her daughters lost her virginity while using a tampon.

Face of the day

Have you heard about the so called ‘ free bleeding’ marathon runner? She is the strange woman who thought that running a race with blood running down her leg was somehow a feminist act, making a political statement about tampons or something. Unfortunately the media like the strange and unusual so much that they have totally ignored today’s face of the day Tigist Tufa, the woman who actually won the marathon. Instead of holding her up as a face of feminism as someone who is a winner, they have made the woman who soiled her pants the new face of feminism. Everyone wants to talk about the ‘ free bleeding ‘ marathon runner cause we women really need a losing role model that gets famous not for her achievements but for her natural bodily functions sigh.

Today’s face of the day Tigist Tufa is not happy and I don’t blame her one little bit. She lets off steam below.

The Huddle

newstalkzb

I was on Larry Williams’ The Huddle show last night with Josie Pagani.

Our topics were;

The America’s cup farce continues – clearly no amount of money makes these boats safe or easy to use, and it’s all about the rich boys and their toys.

Then we’ve got a smaller dairy company on the West Coast of the South Island caught up with having elevated nitrate levels in their milk powder. It’s not even a contamination scare as such – but they are at least fronting and talking about it. Unlike Fonterra’s bad PR job, they should take a leaf out of the book from these operators.   Read more »

If it bleeds, It leads

I see the media are practising their mantra of “if it bleeds, it leads” in beating up a non-story by a little known blogger who says she knows someone who won’t be named and won’t provide any evidence…in other words hearsay.

If I blogged about a person I know that won’t be named,  without any documentary evidence…do you reckon the major newspapers would leap in to that so quick?

In any case this is clearly a case of following policy, it fits their narrative too about how evil and nasty National is, pity it wasn’t true.

The woman who says she was told she could not buy tampons on a Work and Income food card because they were considered “luxury items” says she was told she would have to instead apply for a separate grant which she would have to later repay if she needed items such as tampons.

The woman, who did not want to be named, said she applied for a food grant about six weeks ago after her benefit payments were disrupted during the transition from the Sickness Benefit to the Jobseeker’s Benefit under new welfare benefit categories.  Read more »

I’ve heard it all now

The drag queens are upset, so upset they are going to boycott Libra tampons….oh wait!

Agender NZ president Cherise Witehira, said many in the transgender community were outraged at the ads which were “blatantly transphobic”.

“It’s extremely offensive because it’s pretty much saying the only way you can be a woman is to get your period.

“That’s where a lot of the anger in the community is coming from – it’s saying you are not a woman unless you can get your period.

Uhmmm…pretty much…but “transphobic”? …oh  I suppose people might be a little bit afraid, what with all those hormones raging and all.

Many vented on the company’s Libra Facebook page yesterday, saying they were boycotting the product.

Bex Alphabet said: “I don’t think I’ve been so disgusted or offended by a tampon advert before (and let’s face it, most of them are terrible). Shame on you Libra. Not only is this a terrible, cruel reminder to people who might struggle with their gender, but also an insult to all women – how dare you imply we are that competitive and spiteful over a godamn period? So glad I don’t buy your products.”

Competitive? Spiteful? over a period? Probably not, but everything else probably…loving the boycott of tampons by transgenders though…genuis.
