How victimhood narratives can open doors

Being a victim is not something that any of us would choose but some people can use their victimhood status to do good things. An example of this would be someone who starts a campaign to change the law because it failed to protect them or someone who starts a support group or heads a public information campaign in the hope that it will help prevent what happened to them from happening to someone else.

Being a victim doesn’t always open doors though if the media paints the victim as deserving of what happened to them. When we were the victim of a criminal hack the media immediately painted us as somehow deserving of having our privacy violated and the loss of revenue and the emotional fallout was not considered important.

Possessing a vagina is a matter of biology, not a political argument

Madonna-PHOTO -DailyMail

The hilarious and blunt Katie Hopkins’ impressions of the Women’s march in Washington are quite simple. What she observed was an?excited army of women enjoying each others company but totally lacking a common purpose. Mixed messages and empty slogans mixed with readings from the Koran and created a confused and sometimes nasty atmosphere. Madonna set the tone saying that she felt like blowing up the White House.

Her sign said; ‘I am more than my vagina’. I asked her why she was at the Women’s March on Washington. She said it was because she wanted to show what democracy really meant.

Another white lady held a placard reminding me that ‘white silence = white consent but Black Lives Matter #BLM’. She said she was marching because women own their own bodies.

And a lady, pushing a stroller with two children on board, facing down the secret service, with a sign that made it clear Trump is ‘Not My President’.

Even the speakers sounded confused. As I ate a three piece chicken meal with a side of slaw to recover from hearing the Koran read out in Washington Cathedral, I listened to one manic woman yell at the crowd;

‘We are women. And you are we. And we are you’, gesturing to make her point clear. It wasn’t. But the crowd loved it all the same.

So how do I earn victimhood points?

8pjtpbx

In my 10am post today I mentioned the Progressive pyramid of victimhood. This post is to explain how to earn victimhood points in order to make your way to the top of it.

The strangest thing about the victimhood pyramid is how it has decreased the value of victimhood points for homosexuals. Homosexual rights are “so yesterday” to the progressive left.Transexuals and the hundreds of different made up genders are now the go-to examples of victimhood. Jews barely rate a mention but Muslims are the new big thing.

In their eagerness to protect Islam the left have abandoned the gay community

Sometimes in life you cannot hold two positions simultaneously, and the left in America are struggling with a situation that forces them to make an uncomfortable decision. In order to protect one group it has given victimhood status to, it must acknowledge that the ideology of another group that it has given victimhood status to is responsible for a massacre. Instead of standing up for gays and focusing on protecting them after the Orlando massacre, the left and some gay activists have chosen to close ranks around Islam and to stay in denial about the reality of the massacre.

Ironically, while gay journalist Milo Yiannopoulosis is told that there are not enough police to protect him from hundreds of actual Muslim death threats at a press conference, police are on the roofs of all the mosques in the same area to protect the Muslim community from violence that has not been threatened and will never eventuate.

The left will not hold Islam accountable in any way, shape or form for the massacre. They prefer to blame their favourite scapegoat and whipping boy, Christianity, despite all evidence to the contrary. Islam is at the top of their victimhood pyramid and there is no way that they are going to hold it accountable.

The Left’s abandonment of the gay community so infuriated one man that he came out of the closet publicly in order to attack some Liberal gay leaders and activists.

Jim Hoft of the widely read Gateway Pundit conservative news blog came out as gay following the Orlando terrorist attacks and immediately started throwing punches at prominent gay activists who he says, just don?t get it.

During a segment on Newsmax TV, Hoft called out gay leaders who blasted Donald Trump, saying he?s the only candidate speaking about radical Islamic terrorism, which calls for the death of gay individuals.

Guest Post – The culture of victimhood

I do get extremely irritated by the current culture of victimhood which is taking on a sanctity all of its own. Thou shalt not pull a woman?s hair in case she suffers for ever and ever. For heavens sake, get a life. It does demonstrate what a safe and sheltered life we live in New Zealand, where headlines are made when our PM pulls someone?s hair.

Around the world people are being killed because they are different from the person on the end of a gun or an axe. Women are being repeatedly raped because a man wants to dominate by power. Homosexuals are being thrown off roofs and killed. Not one person here and another there, but in their thousands. We are celebrating (what an odd idea to celebrate this event) a terrible component of a terrible war a hundred years ago this week. A war that killed a number of New Zealanders. What would they think of the outrage heaped on our Prime Minister? For pulling a girls hair? They would laugh themselves silly.

But also what does this say of our women? To me it says they are not competent to look after themselves. That they need whole government departments to look after them. That victim hood is an honourable profession. ?? Read more »
